American actor Michael Shannon – twice nominated for an Academy Award for his performances in Revolutionary Road by Sam Mendes and Nocturnal Animals by Tom Ford – will be the protagonist of an onstage conversation with the audience during the 12th Rome Film Fest.
The conversation will be held after the screening of Trouble No More (Thursday November 2nd, 7:30 pm, Sala Sinopoli, Auditorium Parco della Musica). Shannon will talk to the audience about his career and his role in Jennifer Lebeau’s film on the art of Bob Dylan, in particular about the singer’s music in his “spiritual phase”, between the late Seventies and early Eighties. In this film-concert, the live performances of Dylan and his band alternate with the reading of sermons, penned by writer and critic Luc Sante, and declaimed by Michael Shannon.
