The Regione Lazio, and the Department of Equal Opportunity in collaboration with the Rome Film Fest, brings cinema into the Case Rifugio shelters, where women find protection from domestic violence and attempt to rebuild their identity and autonomy. The president Nicola Zingaretti has always considered the Lazio region as the land of Cinema and Audio-visual art. For this reason, thanks to the extraordinary technical equipment provided by the Regione Lazio, the guests at the Case Rifugio, often accompanied by their daughters and sons, will have free access to the screenings of the films previewed during the Rome Film Fest.
The network of services for women offered by the Regione Lazio today includes twenty-six anti-violence Centres, nine shelters for women and one semi-autonomy House, the number of which is constantly growing.
This year, the women living in these structures and their children can enjoy the magic of the Rome Film Fest with its entire range of emotions, confirming that cinema is an element of growth that connects everyone in our society.
1522 is the national anti-violence and stalking emergency number, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
