RomeFilmFest: A streetcar named…Gaultier

For the past week, an usual, brightly coloured tram has been passing through the streets of Rome, giving off the wonderful scent of French fragrances. Among champagne and make-up brushes, the “glam tram” has been bringing the city the style of leading French stylist Jean Paul Gaultier. The Gaultier Beauty Shuttle is a historical tram that has been transformed into a beauty salon during the RomeFilmFest, for anyone desiring a quick make-over of any kind, even in one of cinema’s numerous styles.
“The tram embodies the vivacious and non-conformist spirit of Jean Paul Gaultier,” reads an announcement by JPG Parfums, “recreating a unique and privileged atmosphere in which passengers will be able to meet many guests from the entertainment and modelling industries. A touch of glamour at the first RomeFilmFest”.
The shuttle tour began on October 13, for the festival opening, and will conclude tomorrow. It runs from 12-8 pm, passing by such emblematic sites as the Coliseum and the Piazza del Popolo, bringing Gaultier perfumes to all (from the classic Fragile, Le Male and Classique to the company’s newest creations), as well as passing out passengers beauty and make-up secrets and advice by an exclusive make-up artist.
Furthermore, every day from 7-8 pm, in correspondence with the red carpet events at the Auditorium, guests are offered a glamorous champagne aperitif. To celebrate its last day, tomorrow the shuttle will open its doors to special guest Remy Gomez, president of Beautè Prestige International, the parent company of Jean Paul Gaultier Parfums.
