Steven Spielberg’s extraordinary new film THE FABELMANS will have its Italian premiere at the Rome Film Fest, in collaboration with Alice nella città. The highly anticipated film from American maestro Spielberg, one of the most influential authors in cinema, will screen for the public on Wednesday, 19 October at 8.30 p.m. at the Sala Sinopoli of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, and at 9 p.m. at the Auditorium Conciliazione.
The film, winner of Toronto International Film Festival’s People’s Choice Award, is co-written by Spielberg and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner, a long-time Spielberg collaborator and two-time Academy Award® nominee for the screenplays of LINCOLN and MUNICH. It is produced by Academy Award® nominee Kristie Macosko Krieger, Spielberg, and Kushner.
THE FABELMANS, a deeply personal portrait of 20th Century American childhood, is a coming-of-age story about a young man’s discovery of a shattering family secret and an exploration of the power of movies to help us see the truth about each other and ourselves.
THE FABELMANS stars four-time Academy Award® nominee Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Gabriel LaBelle and Academy Award®nominee Judd Hirsch, with music by Academy Award® winner John Williams, cinematography by Academy Award® winner Janusz Kaminski, and editing by Oscar® winner Michael Kahn and Sarah Broshar.
Amblin Entertainment’s THE FABELMANS will be distributed in Italy by Leone Film Group in collaboration with Rai Cinema and 01 Distribution.
