VIVA IL CINEMA!
During the month of July, Zètema Progetto Cultura and Fondazione Cinema per Roma will organise the second edition of “Viva il Cinema!”, the initiative promoted by the Councillorship for Culture of Roma Capitale, with the coordination of the Department for Cultural Activities as part of the Estate Romana summer festival, which will bring the Seventh Art into the suburbs of the city: like in 2023, three different movie arenas will be built to offer the public a total of 46 free screenings so that audiences might rediscover the joy of gathering in front of a screen and sharing the movie experience. The programme runs from July 1 to 17 at Tor Bella Monaca in Via Giovanni Castano (VI Municipio), while from July 8 to 26 the outdoor space will be set up in the complex of Santa Maria della Pietà (XIV Municipio). The third arena, located in the Corviale in via Poggio Verde (XI Municipio) will be operational from July 15 to 24. The ”Viva il Cinema!” project, funded by the European Union Next Generation EU as part of the National Plan for Resilience and Recovery (PNRR), is one of the Intangible Interventions included in the planning programme titled Piani Urbani Integrati M5C2-Investimento 2.2, designated for the suburbs of Metropolitan Cities.
