Salvatore Nastasi is the new President of the Fondazione Cinema per Roma. He was appointed today, Tuesday 16th July 2024, by the Board of Founders of the institution, chaired by Lorenzo Tagliavanti (President of the Chamber of Commerce of Rome) and composed of members Roberto Gualtieri (Mayor of Roma Capitale), Francesco Rocca (President of Regione Lazio), Chiara Sbarigia (President of Cinecittà S.p.A. representing the Ministry of Culture) and Claudia Mazzola (President of Fondazione Musica per Roma),

In the same session, the Board of Founders also approved the financial statement for the year 2023, which closed positively.

SALVATORE NASTASI
Salvatore Nastasi (Bari, 1973), is a lawyer and civil servant. He has served as the Director General for the Performing Arts, Chief of Staff and Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, as well as the Official Receiver of the Government for the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and the Arena di Verona. From 2015 to 2018 he was Deputy Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. In the three-year period 2016-2019 he served as the President of the Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica “Silvio D’Amico” in Rome. Since 2022 he has been the President of the Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori SIAE and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana Giovanni Treccani. An expert in law regarding the cultural heritage, cinema and live performing arts, he has held classes and lectures in various Italian universities. He is a Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
