Ever since its debut, the RomeFilmFest has had a very original policy for its competition section: to entrust the verdict in the selection of best film (the Marcus Aurelius Award), best actor and best actress, as well as the Special Jury Prize, to a group of ordinary filmgoers: film lovers of all ages who go to see every kind of film imaginable; fans, but not fanatics. The second edition of the RomeFilmFest will run October 18th to 27th, 2007. The main location of the event will be Rome Auditorium. Sections: Cinema2007 (In Competition and Out of Competition), Premiere, Extra, Alice in the City, The Actor´s Craft. The Best Film Award at the RomeFilmFest has gone to Izobrajaya Zhertvy – Playing the Victim by Kirill Serebrennikov. The Russian director’s first comments were: “I’ve been watching Italian cinema since I was a child, it’s in my head and in my heart.
