The Fondazione Cinema per Roma presents the programme for July at the Casa del Cinema: every day, in the Teatro Ettore Scola, the great outdoor arena immersed in the park of Villa Borghese, there will be a film screening with free admission.
From July 1st to August 5th at 9:30 pm, the programme will feature three film series for a total of twenty-five titles. The first cycle will be “Cinema al Cinema” (1 – 13 July), a fascinating journey through the films that talk about the seventh art, its stories and its protagonists; “Dance Dance Dance” (19 – 27 July) will include a selection of iconic examples of musicals and compelling stories told through the languages of song and dance; “Viva la coppia” (28 July – 5 August), finally, will offer the public an opportunity to discover and rediscover memorable Italian and international comedies that feature some of the most acclaimed couples on the big screen.
From July 8th to 12th at 9 pm, the second edition of “Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere” will take place: the programme features a series of screenings and encounters, organised by Palatine e Lutetia in collaboration with the Fondazione Cinema per Roma, to celebrate the twinning between Paris and Rome. Actress Juliette Binoche will be a guest at the inauguration.
The collaboration between the Fondazione Cinema per Roma and Galleria Borghese will continue in July as well: once a month, Casa del Cinema will feature a film with content pertinent to the exhibitions held at the Galleria Borghese, or linked to the works in the permanent collection. On Monday July 3rd in Sala Fellini at Casa del Cinema, the screening will feature L’ombra del Caravaggio by Michele Placido, about the life of the great artist from Milan.
