Alice nella città presents “Storks” by Nicholas Stoller and Doug Sweetland

After recently announcing the first title – Generations – in the Young/Adult competition, Alice nella città presents Storks, a family film to be screened out-of-competition: the extraordinary new 2D and 3D animated adventure, by creative studio WAG _ Warner Animation Group, will be released in Italian theatres in the fall, distributed by Warner Bros Pictures.
Directed by Nicholas Stoller, formerly nominated at the BAFTA awards for Muppets 2, and Doug Sweetland, the animation supervisor for Cars, nominated for an Oscar® as the director of the animated short film Presto. Stoller also wrote the screenplay for the film and is co-producer with Brad Lewis (Ratatouille). The executive producers are Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (directors of The LEGO® Movie).
In the original version, Storks relies on the voice talents of Andy Samberg (Junior), Katie Crown (Tulip), Stephen Kramer Glickman (Toady) and Jennifer Aniston (Mrs. Gardner). In the Italian version, these roles have been entrusted to three famous faces and voices of Italian television, radio, cinema and theatre: Alessia Marcuzzi, Federico Russo and Vincenzo Salemme. The storks will land at the Auditorium Parco della Musica for an animated red carpet with the children.

Storks deliver babies… or maybe they used to. In Storks they make deliveries for a major Internet retailer. Junior (Federico Russo), the company’s best stork, is about to be promoted when, by mistake, he activates the baby-making machine and brings to life an adorable, but unauthorized baby girl. Junior and his friend Tulip (Alessia Marcuzzi), the only human on Mount Stork, must try to deliver the little girl to the Gardner family before the boss discovers what happened, in a race against time that will allow them not only to discover the value of a family, but also to remind the world of the storks’ true mission. Their plans will be thwarted by the ambitious pigeon Toady (Vincenzo Salemme).
