Geppi Cucciari will return to the stage of the Rome Film Fest: for the second consecutive year, the author and television host will be the godmother of the closing ceremony which will take place on Saturday October 28th at 5 pm in Sala Petrassi of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone.
Throughout her over twenty-year career, Geppi Cucciari has proven to be one of the most brilliant and multifaceted women in entertainment in Italy, moving easily between cinema, television, radio and theatre. She made her debut on Zelig in 2001, and since 2002 she has worked in theatre as well, where she stars in several shows, including Full Metal Geppi, Maionese and Si vive una volta. Sola, written together with Lucio Wilson, and directed by Mattia Torre. She played the role of Morticia in the musical La Famiglia Addams directed by Giorgio Gallione and since 2017 she has performed the “Perfetta” monologue written and directed by Mattia Torre. In television, after Zelig Circus (2005-2009), she has hosted many programmes including Italia’s Got Talent (Canale 5), G’day (La7) and for Rai: Per un pugno di libri, Raipipol, Che Succ3de? and the last three final episodes of Premio Strega and Splendida Cornice, in prime time on Rai 3. Since 2015, with Giorgio Lauro, she has hosted the radio programme Un giorno da Pecora on Radio1. She has starred in the sitcom Belli Dentro and in cinema she has acted in Grande, grosso e Verdone (2008) by Carlo Verdone, L’arbitro (2013) by Paolo Zucca with Stefano Accorsi, Un fidanzato per mia moglie (2014) with Luca Bizzarri and Paolo Kessisoglu, Passione Sinistra (2013) by Marco Ponti and Una donna per amica (2014) by Giovanni Veronesi. For three years she has hosted the nomination ceremony for the David di Donatello awards at the Quirinale and for thirteen years she has hosted “Una notte in Italia”, the film festival on the island of Tavolara, directed by Piera Detassis.
