BORIS 4, the hotly-awaited cult comedy series written and directed by Giacomo Ciarrapico and Luca Vendruscolo, has its premiere in Rome as a co-production between the Rome Film Fest and Alice nella città. Monday, October 24th, the cast will be introducing the screening at both the Sala Sinopoli at the dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone (at 7:30pm) and at the Auditorium Conciliazione (at 9.30pm).

After three seasons and a film, written and directed by Mattia Torre, Giacomo Ciarrapico, and Luca Vendruscolo, Boris is back on screens big and small to go behind the scenes on Italian TV and film sets with its usual satirical, unconventional flair. Ten years have passed and everything’s changed. Mainstream television – with its kind doctors and lectures on the perils of drugs – is being left for dead, to the point that even René and his friends now work for a global platform. The series that René has to direct this time around is The Life of Jesus, based on an idea of Stanis La Rochelle’s, who not only plays the lead, who notoriously died at age 33, when he is 50, but the producer as well, through his company SNIP (So Not Italian Production). Stanis founded it with Corinna, whom he has also been married to for a few years. Just the three usual suspects are writing The Life of Jesus. Co-producer and organizer is Lopez: retired from the Web, he has reinvented himself as a producer with his QQQ (Quality, Quality, Quality). The opportunity that’s not to be missed is that the leading European platform is seriously interested in the project, but before they greenlight it, the Algorithm has to approve all the scripts (this is the “lock”). Everything moves smoothly along, or so it seems, but what does working for this new master really entail? Will René seize this new chance to direct a series that is finally any good? Above all, will our team be able to adapt to a world that has changed overnight?
