After travelling the world with the documentary film on the multi-ethnic orchestra created in the Esquilino district of Rome (L’orchestra di Piazza Vittorio), the adventure’s protagonists, Agostino Ferrente and Mario Tronco, have started to make video portraits of each individual musician in the orchestra, filmed in their country of origin. The first two profiles were made in Argentina by Alessandro Rossetto and in Tunisia by Leonardo Di Costanzo.
The RomeFilmFest presents premieres of both these films, with the screening followed by a concert given by the Orchestra, following the model already used for the original documentary when it was shown around the world, from Rome to New York. This premiere will take place on Friday 19th October at 22.30, in the Sala Santa Cecilia, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica (tickets cost 10 Euros).
