German Days: five premieres

On October 17th German Filmswill present five new films from Germany, some of which have just premiered or are about to premiere at international festivals.
Winter Journey by Hans Steinbichler (whose first feature film Hierankl was presented in Rome 2 years ago) was celebrated in competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in July. The Man from the Embassy by Dito Tsintsadze was awarded with the Silver Leopard for Best Actor to Burghard Klaußner at the Locarno International Film Festival in August, whereas Warchild  by Christian Wagner was awarded for Best Screenplay at the Montreal World Film Festival at the beginning of this month. Emma´s Bliss by Sven Taddicken which internationally premieres at the San Sebastian International Film Festival was very successful with the German audience and the press at its national release in July. Brandnew is The Big Sellout, a gripping documentary by Florian Opitz can be seen for the first time internationally at the German Screenings in Rome. This high-class package of films is attractive for the international buyers who can take the opportunity to see them in the agreeable atmosphere of the Cinema Barberini and catch up with latest German filmmaking. Admission to the screenings for accreditated professional or invitations. No doubt, the films will make their way to the audiences worldwide.
