The Fondazione Cinema per Roma offers its warmest congratulations to Claudia Llosa, the director of this year’s Golden Bear winner at the 59th Berlin Film Festival. In fact, in 2007 the Peruvian filmmaker presented the project that would become La teta asustada (The Milk of Sorrow) in the lineup of the Fabbrica dei Progetti/New Cinema Network, the co-production market that the Festival Internazionale del Film di Roma dedicates to promoting the independent film industry, bringing together emerging directors and Europe’s leading producers, distributors, and financiers.
