Release – RELEASE: Successful ticket sales but still some available

As of today, the “last minute” line at the Auditorium´s Box Office will be set for the evening screenings at the Première, Cinema 206 and Extra sections. Even though the ticket sales have been a great success, there are tickets available for many screenings. Tickets are available from 1 pm.
 
There are still tickets available for various screenings at the RomeFilmFest, starting with the gala evening and the event titles of the Première section. Films include (at the PalaRomaUno): The Hoax by Lasse Hallström, starring Richard Gere, and Alatriste, featuring Viggo Mortensen (both on Monday, October 16); The Namesake by Indian director Mira Nair (Tuesday, Oct. 17); The Stone Council with Monica Bellucci (Wednesday, Oct.18); and Uno su due by Eugenio Cappuccio with Fabio Volo (Sunday, Oct.15).
There are also still tickets for the Eventi Speciali, including the outrageous mockumentary Borat, already a success in the US (Friday, Oct. 20 at the PalaRomaUno), as well as the Saturday, October 21 screening (at 9:30 pm) of Roberto Andò´s Viaggio segreto.
Cinema2006 still has tickets for competition titles such as Jardins en automne by master Georgian filmmaker Otar Iosseliani (Sunday, October 15, PalaRomaUno), L’aria salata by Alessandro Angelini with Giorgio Pasotti (Wednesday, Oct. 18, Metropolitan 3), Nightmare Detective by Tsukamoto Shinya (Sunday, Oct. 15, PalaRomaUno), Primo Levi´s Journey by Davide Ferrario (Friday, Oct. 20, Metropolitan 3), The Colonel by Laurent Herbiet (Wednesday, Oct. 18, PalaRomaUno), Fu Zi – After This Our Exile by Hong Kong maestro Patrick Tam (Monday, Oct. 16, at the Auditorium´s Sala Sinopoli and Tuesday, Oct. 17, PalaRomaUno) and Pablo Trapero´s Born and Bred (Friday, Oct. 20, PalaRomaUno).
For Alice nella città, parents and children still have a chance to see the films Open Season (Monday, Oct. 14, Sala Santa Cecilia at the Auditorium) and Over the Hedge (Friday, Oct. 20, Sala Sinopoli), Red Like the Sky by Cristiano Bortone (Monday, Oct. 16, Sala Sinopoli and Tuesday, Oct. 18, Metropolitan 3) and Salvatore – That´s Life by Gian Paolo Cugno (Saturday, Oct. 21, Sala Petrassi).
Lastly, tickets abound for experimental Extra section films, including the Beastie Boys concert movie Awesome: I Fuckin’ Shot That! by Nathanial Hörnblowér (Sunday, Oct. 15, Sala Petrassi and Monday, Oct. 16, Metropolitan 4), the documentary on Nirvana band leader Kurt Cobain About a Son (Wednesday, Oct. 18, Sala Petrassi and Friday, Oct. 20, Metropolitan 1), the journey between film and theatre that is Le Dernier Caravansérail (Monday, Oct. 14, Sala Petrassi; Tuesday, Oct. 15; and Wednesday, Oct. 16, Metropolitan 1), and the special Machinima (Tuesday, Oct. 15, Sala Teatro Studio).
The same holds true for the special event screenings of the restored copies of Roberto Rossellini´s Rome, Open City (Tuesday, Oct. 15, Metropolitan 3) and Of Mice and Men by Lewis Milestone (Wednesday, Oct. 16, Sala Teatro Studio).
