This morning was the final appointment of the General Assembly on Italian Cinema, promoted by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma within the Festival Internazionale del Film di Roma. Today’s conference on Piracy and Audiovisual Crime followed discussions on New Regulations for Cinema Development (October 28th) and Copyright (October 29th).
There were 49 speakers at the event, representing institutions, businesses, universities and consumers, with a total audience of over 700 professionals.
‘The three appointments of the General Assembly on Italian Cinema’, continued Gian Luigi Rondi, ‘investigated threecrucial themes for the relaunch and development of the cinema and audiovisual industry in this important phase of transition from analogue to the new digital scenario. We have teased out some very useful elements which we intend to draw up into common factors to disseminate to the whole industry in the coming weeks‘.
‘We visualised this General Assembly as an important occasion, bringing together all sectors of the cinema and audiovisual industry‘, concluded Gian Luigi Rondi, President of the Fondazione Cinema per Roma, ‘We are very pleased with the result and the productive involvement of institutions, businesses, writers and other members of this industry shows us how to move forward, bringing various issues to the attention of national decision makers because this industry is an important part of the national economy and can also contribute to development in other sectors.’
