The Rome Film Fest celebrates its tenth anniversary: the new regulations and some sneak previews

The Rome Film Fest – organized by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma chaired by Piera Detassis – has released the regulations for the tenth edition, which will take place from October 16th to 24th 2015 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and in other venues around the Capital city, under the artistic direction of Antonio Monda.

Along with the meetings, master classes, retrospectives, special events, and re-editions of classic films, the Rome Film Fest will feature an Official Selection of a maximum of thirty-five films, from the best independent cinema to genre productions, from the work of renowned auteurs to that of upcoming young talents, from blockbuster films to animation films, documentaries and the visual arts.

At the end of each screening, the audience may vote for a film that will compete for the BNL People’s Choice Award, in collaboration with the Fest’s time-honoured Main Partner, BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas.

As an independent sidebar, Alice nella città will present a programme for children and young adults, with a maximum of fourteen films.

In agreement with President Piera Detassis, the artistic director Antonio Monda offered some sneak previews of the coming edition. The complete programme will be illustrated during an official press conference that will take place at the end of September. The artistic director Antonio Monda will be assisted by a selection committee coordinated by Mario Sesti with members Richard Peña, Giovanna Fulvi, Alberto Crespi, Alessia Palanti, Francesco Zippel

The Rome Film Fest is made possible by the Founding Members of the Fondazione: Roma Capitale, Regione Lazio, Chamber of Commerce, Istituto Luce Cinecittà (representing the Ministry for the Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism), the Fondazione Musica per Roma and the Metropolitan City of Roma Capitale.
