The RomeFilmFest’s exhibitions open

Exhibition The Emperor´s Costumes. Costumes made of silk and other exotic materials, with exuberant patterns and vivid colors, carefully hand-crafted to reproduce the fashions of Imperial China. The dresses that were another character in Bernardo Bertolucci´s The Last Emperor, opened by the RomeFilmFest President Goffredo Bettini and the President of the Biennial of Venice, Davide Croff, at the Auditorium´s Spazio Espositivo 2. It has been jointly produced by the RomeFilmFest and the Venice Biennial and is, together with the restored version of Rome Open City and Ossessione, part of the collaboration between both institutions.
 
Exhibition Luchino Visconti. The President of the RomeFilmFest, Bettini, has later on attended the opening of “Luchino Visconti and his times”, in the Auditorium´s Spazio Risonanze. Curated by Caterina D’Amico and Elio Testoni in collaboration with Piero Tosi, the exhibition accounts the filmmaker´s artistic and personal life, spanning from his childhood to the images of his theatre performances and movies, from his horse breeder years, which was one of his main hobbies. Besides, costumes from his movies and plays, film and theatre scripts and private letters.
 
Exhibition Costa Crociere and ADR. Finally, the exhibitions organized respectively by Costa Crociere -“Stra-Ordinary People. Not Just Roman Holidays”- and ADR (Aeroporti di Roma) – “Aeroporti in mostra. Il cinema sbarca a Roma“. They display portraits of movie stars in an unusual situation, the first in their spare time, and the second at the moment of their arrival or departure from Rome.
