FELLINI – IO SONO UN CLOWN by Marco Spagnoli

In 1967, Peter Goldfarb, a young American producer, convinced Federico Fellini, the great internationally-renowned Italian film director, to work for the first time for American television. This is a story that has essentially remained under wraps for half a century. The film, enriched with photos and original materials that were found during the 4K restoration of I clown, is structured as a sort of ideal dialogue between Goldfarb and Fellini who appears both in original clips from the American production, and in the performance by Neri Marcoré, who lends his voice to a series of original texts: Federico Fellini’s letters, thoughts, interviews and “dreams”, tied to his television imagery and autobiography.
