During the month promoting the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Casa del Cinema is organising a series of initiatives – with free admission – to support this important civic holiday. The first events will be held tomorrow, Thursday 7 November, in collaboration with Fondazione Una Nessuna Centomila.

At 6 pm, there will be the inauguration of the exhibition “C’è ancora domani, sempre”, which gathers a series of photographs taken by photographer Claudio Iannone during the filming of C’è ancora domani by Paola Cortellesi, the award-winning box office hit which opened the eighteenth Rome Film Fest, telling the story of violence against women in a truly unique way. The event will be attended by the Roman filmmaker and actress.

The exhibition, which will run through December 1st, is promoted by Roma Capitale and organised by Fondazione Cinema per Roma in collaboration with Fondazione Una Nessuna Centomila, with the support of Fondo Pegaso and Studio Legale Arianna Moccia, thanks to Wildside, a division of the Fremantle Group and to Vision Distribution, a division of the Sky group, Netflix, Le Giornate della Luce and Città di Spilimbergo, and is curated by Alessandra Albanesi, with exhibition design by Anita Roscini.

For the inauguration of the exhibition, Casa del Cinema will also present a screening, with free admission, of C’è ancora domani, starting at 8 pm in Sala Cinecittà.

The programme will continue on Monday 25 November: on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, there will be two film screenings. The first will start at 5 pm with the stirring film by Maria Grazia Liguori and Francesco Calandra about a shelter-home, La casa viola, which tells the personal stories and hopes of its residents who have escaped their domestic horror. At 8 pm, the screening will feature Familia, the sophomore film by the talented Francesco Costabile, in which Barbara Ronchi, Francesco Di Leva, Francesco Gheghi (who won an award for young revelation at the most recent Venice Film Festival) and Tecla Insolia masterfully portray a terrifying family atmosphere.
