Sidney Poitier and Paul Newman are the protagonists of the official poster of the fifteenth Rome Film Fest, which will be held from October 15th to 25th 2020 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica under the artistic direction of Antonio Monda, produced by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma chaired by Laura Delli Colli, General Manager Francesca Via.
The photo, taken during the shooting of Paris Blues by Martin Ritt (1961), the film nominated for the Oscar® for Best Soundtrack, composed by Duke Ellington, is a tribute to two icons in the history of cinema. The sense of complicity, the joy of being together, the experiences we share, the value of human and artistic collaboration are the beat of the 2020 Rome Film Fest.
“I was strongly determined to make this the image of the fifteenth edition – stated Antonio Monda – This is a photo that celebrates the glamour of great cinema, the idea of fest that I have tried to convey since the first edition I had the privilege to direct and, now more than ever, at a time like this, the sense of communion and interracial love”.
