BNL People’s Choice Award Angry Indian Goddesses di Pan Nalin
The first edition of MIA was held in Rome from the 16th to the 20th of October in the frame of the Rome Film Fest. Films, tv series, documentaries, videogames: for the first time in Italy, a Market covered all the segments of the audiovisual industry. The main venues for the event was the complex of the Baths of Diocletian, the Hotel Boscolo Exedra, the Quattro Fontane multiplex and the The Space Cinema Moderno.

THE PRIZES AWARDED BY THE JURIES OF BOYS
The films in competition in the Alice nella città section were awarded two Marc’Aurelio Alice nella città prizes. They were voted by two juries, one made up of children under 13 and one made up of children over 13. The juries of boys assigned the:

THE MARC'AURELIO ESORDIENTI AWARD
Thanks to the collaboration with the Department of Youth of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Marc’Aurelio Esordienti Prize was awarded, transversal to all sections of the Festival, and intended for the director of the best first work. The jury chaired by Caterina D’Amico and composed of Leonardo Diberti, Anita Kravos, Gianfrancesco Lazotti, Giuseppe Alessio Nuzzo awarded the:
- Marc’Aurelio Esordienti Award: ex aequo Circumstance by Maryam Keshavarz - La Brindille by Emmanuelle Millet
THE MARC'AURELIO AWARD TO THE ACTOR
The award was awarded to Richard Gere, the Hollywood star who has always been involved in humanitarian battles, star of popular films such as American Gigolo, Officer and Gentleman, Pretty Woman and interpreter for authors such as Robert Altman, Akira Kurosawa, Sidney Lumet, Francis Ford Coppola, Todd Haynes, Terrence Malick.
The International Film Market (The Business Street) and the Fabbrica dei Progetti (New Cinema Network) were held from 27 to 31 October and took place in Hotel Bernini Bristol, Casa del Cinema, The Space Cinema Moderno, Cinema Fiamma.

THE PRIZE ASSIGNED BY THE BEGINNERS JURY
Starting from the 2010 edition, in collaboration with the Youth Department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Marc'Aurelio Esordienti Prize is awarded. The new award intends to reward the best director or the best performer of the film, for his first work. The jury composed of Andrea Piersanti (president), Valentina Carnelutti, Claudio Giovannesi, Uliana Kovaleva and Giampaolo Rossi, assigned the:

THE PRIZES AWARDED BY THE JURIES OF BOYS
The films in competition in the Alice nella città section were awarded two Marc’Aurelio Alice nella città prizes. The winners are chosen by two juries, one made up of boys from eight to thirteen and the other from fourteen to seventeen, specially selected from the public and schools. The two juries of boys awarded the:
- Marc’Aurelio Alice in the city under 12 years old: I Want To Be a Soldier by Christian Molina
- Marc’Aurelio Alice in the city over 12 years: Adem by Hans Van Nuffel
THE MARC'AURELIO AWARD TO THE MEMORY OF SUSO CECCHI D’AMICO
The fifth edition of the Festival commemorates the Italian screenwriter, who passed away on July 31, 2010, with one of its official awards.

An international jury made up of personalities from the world of arts and culture judged the films in competition within the Official Selection. Milos Forman is the president, flanked by Gabriele Muccino, Gae Aulenti, Jean-Loup Dabadie, Pavel Lungin, Senta Berger.

THE AWARD AWARDED BY THE PUBLIC
The Rome International Film Festival provides for the participation of all spectators in the awarding of the Marc’Aurelio d'Oro Award to the public for the best film - BNL. Each ticket holder was given, upon entering the theater, a "scratch and vote" card relating to the film in programming, with which the public expressed their appreciation. The films that participated in the awarding of the prize are those in competition from the Official Selection.
