Fondazione Cinema per Roma presents the July programme for Casa del Cinema, which will be held at the outdoor Teatro Ettore Scola: every day, the large arena immersed in the Park of Villa Borghese will host a screening with free admission, starting at 9 pm.

There will be four film series over the course of the month, with a lineup that will last through September 8th, the last day of outdoor screenings for Casa del Cinema.

From August 1st through 23rd the series “Summer Tales” will present twelve films set during the summer, in the long-awaited season during which everyday life stops and a new time arises, suspended, sometimes unpredictable.

From August  3rd to September 1st, audiences are invited to attend the cycle “Extraordinary Lives”, seventeen films that reconstruct the public and private lives of unique figures that have made the history of art, culture and politics.

From August 26th to September 8th, “Stories of Books” will feature six films – some based on the works of great writers –  in which the protagonist is literature, passion and the mystery of the written word, its capacity for emancipation, its romantic and rebel nature.

From September 3rd to 7th, the featured series will be “Radio Days”, featuring four films in which the full potential of radio and the power of the voice are revealed as instruments of participation and a sounding board for great stories, dreams of freedom and shared sentiments.
